Box Zombies is a chaotic, easy-to-learn couch co-op survival game built from the ground up for same-screen play. Up to 4 players share a single camera as they fight through massive zombie hordes, explore both randomly generated and handcrafted maps, and build defenses to survive escalating day/night cycles.

No two rounds play the same. Randomized maps, weapon spawns, powerups, and events keep every session fresh. The shared camera naturally encourages players to stay together — split up at your own risk.

Designed with simple, intuitive controls, Box Zombies is easy to pick up for anyone from seasoned gamers to first-time party guests. Fast-paced rounds and chaotic drop-in play make it a natural fit for game nights and gatherings.

Box Zombies is a spiritual successor to a mobile game the developer loved as a kid, rebuilt almost entirely from scratch to be more stable, polished, and feature-rich. A free, limited version remains available on iOS and Android.

What kind of game is this?
A survival sandbox built around teamwork, exploration, and chaotic fun. Easy to learn, increasingly intense to master.
Is there online co-op?
Not at this time. Box Zombies is designed specifically for same-screen local co-op.
Can I turn blood off?
Yes — there's a blood toggle in the Settings menu, making it suitable for all audiences.
Is this the same as the mobile game?
It shares the name and concept, but the PC version is almost entirely rewritten — more stable, polished, and expanded. A free limited version is still available on iOS and Android.
How do maps work?
The game includes both handcrafted maps and procedurally generated layouts, so sessions feel varied even on familiar terrain.
